Dinesh Yadav (Ph. D.) is an interdisciplinary researcher, pedagogue, and performance artist. He directs for theatre and designs for performances, theatre, installations, events, museums, and media. His research inhabits the crossroads of arts, technology, humanities, and health. His theatre and design practices enquire into the politics of performance. His works are shown in theatres, galleries, and public spaces at festivals, exhibitions, and events around the globe.

Dinesh has directed thirty productions and designed over one hundred shows across the genres of performance, theatre, and media. He has exhibited in the World Stage Design 2013 (Cardiff, UK) and the Prague Quadrennial (Czech Republic) in 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2019, respectively. He was the curator for the Section of Countries and Regions for the Indian Section in the Prague Quadrennial 2015 and 2019 and the 21st Century Innovative Costume 2019 in Moscow. He was the Technical Director for Can & Abel Theatres and technically directed their shows in twenty-four countries for ten years. He is the current chair of the Performance Design Commission of OISTAT and General Editor of the quarterly Theatre Design and Technology (td&t). He is the founder member of the Swayambhu Foundation.

He studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), London, the National School of Drama, New Delhi, and the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. At present, he is an Associate Professor of Theatre at Texas A&M University, TX, USA
